Deca J. Williams has been named President of Rowland Title Company.
“This is an honor for me,” said Williams, “I have worked at Rowland Title for nearly 15 years and am looking forward to this new leadership role.”
Williams makes note of the passing of the torch from her mother and mentor, Kim S. Wishall, previously President of Rowland Title. Wishall, who worked for the company for 25 years, started as a closer and was an integral part of the company’s growth in Madison, Delaware and Henry counties, as well as its technology development. Wishall’s community involvement with AMCAR (Anderson/Madison County Association of Realtors, formerly Anderson Board of Realtors) awarded Rowland Title the first-ever Affiliate of the Year Award. In addition, Wishall was an active member in both Madison County and State of Indiana committees and boards, such as ILTA (Indiana Land Title Association), ALTA (America Land Title Association), Paramount Board, Noon Exchange Club/Bids for Kids, Rotary, Madison County Chamber of Commerce and Paramount Festival of Trees fundraiser.
Wishall state, “I am confident that Deca [Williams] will be an outstanding leader for Rowland Title. I am also very excited about my new venture of owning a new business in Illinois with my husband.”
Williams comes into the President role with extensive knowledge of the title business, having started working full-time at Rowland in 2000. She has held manager and various positions within the company. Like Wishall, she is actively involved in Madison County and State of Indiana community events and committees. Williams is active in AMCAR, Vice Chair of the Agents Section for ILTA, Member of YTP (Young Title Professionals), actively involved in the Madison County Chamber of Commerce and FAB! (Females Active in Business).
“I am focused on further improving the technology sector of our business, implementing new strategies and procedures to make the business processes even better for our clients,” said Williams. “I am looking forward to growing the partnership with our customers and community even more.”
Williams notes the improvement of Rowland Title’s website, Facebook page, as well as a new blog, which will allow an easy customer interface.
The company is celebrating its 125th year in business and has a rich history in Madison County.
